Whether from the depths of the earth or the infinite cosmos, unknown terrors can appear without warning. Unspeakable horrors come in all shapes and sizes, and often the threat they pose can go completely unseen until it is too late. It is up to the brave few with keen intellect, honed survival instincts, or pure dumb luck to face these eldritch perils before they consume us all.
The Feast of Hemlock Vale Investigator Expansion features five new investigators for Arkham Horror: The Card Game and adds a wealth of new player cards and options for deckbuilding, including brand-new bonded cards and cards that make use of bless and curse tokens. Use the right tool for the job as the handyman, Wilson Richards; build the ultimate laboratory as the scientist, Kate Winthrop; smooth-talk your way out of danger as the countess, Alessandra Zorzi; bring balance to chaos as the folklorist, Kōhaku Narukami; and throw yourself into danger to protect others as the farmhand, Hank Samson.
This expansion is a fantastic addition to any Arkham Horror: The Card Game player’s collection, and the cards within can be used to build or enhance investigator decks for any of the game’s scenarios or campaigns.

As with Innsmouth Conspiracy, this expansion goes hard on the bless and curse tokens. If your deck doesn’t build around these tokens, then many of the cards in this expansion will have much less, or no, value to you. Depending on your commitment to this mechanic, you could be writing off half of this expansion.

The box is 3x bigger than it needs to be to ship/contain the contents and is of no use for storage once opened. If you want to make a bigger box for 'shelf presence', although I suspect that 95% of expansion for games like this are bough online or pre-ordered) at least make the box useful - the format of the old 'Return-to' boxes would be ideal. No excuse for this, just bad product/packing design. I'm sure the game/cards will be fine and add to a good game but FFG (Asmode) get your fucking act together in terms of helping the planet.
