Betting/Wagering games are games that encourage or require players to bet money (real or in-game) on certain outcomes within the game.
Betting/Wagering
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

t first I thought it will be a game for kids but it's in fact a very clever game. I think some elements can be improved but I have to admit that this is a very good game.

Good game. Easy worker placement. Funny theme with a lot of Streetfighter/Mortal Combat/Anime references. For my personal taste, there just is not enough to keep me interested for two hours. The gameplay is too easy. A minor problem is the dice rolling during tournaments. I think this mechanic is too complex for what it delivers, it takes to much time, for a short dice rolling thing. The game itself could be suitable for a non gamer audience (although it is no family game), since the amount of luck involved is considerable and the gameplay is not to complex.

Dojo Kun is a mid-weight worker placement euro game. So, where is the appeal, you may say...? There is lot to like, here: the game is quite thematic (and the theme is unique and not dull at all), gameplay is fast and definitely exciting. The twist lies in the build-up to the tournament turns, where all the excitement previously compressed, will unleash like a spring. The game lasts just 8 turns, and turns 4 and 8 are the tournament turns: all worker placements are put aside, and a single elimination 8-man dice-fest begins! The player who has trained the best fighter usually wins, but every fighter earns a fistful of victory points for winning each match. A very fun and fresh design, mixing euro and dice rolling in a very pleasant way. Want to play again!
