A wonderful and atmospheric detective story with good logic and interesting puzzles. My wife and I are huge fans of detective board games and have tried many different ones. I had some complaints about the previous case - Fire in Adlerstein, but in Antarctica everything was done at the highest level. I really enjoyed it and consider that Detectives Stories series to be the best so far.

I love detective games like Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, but this game really isn't for me. I played this after Fire in Adlerstein and this one is more challenging. I just find the game more work than fun. I don't find it all that immersive and a lot of the clues are very subtle. There's a lot of clues you have to align with each other and cross off suspects until you narrow down who it most likely is. The hints pretty give away who the killer is, which makes the game too easy. While more ambitious than Fire in Adlerstein, this makes me like the game less. I won't be returning to these style of detective games.

An ok detective case style game, but some bad localisation issues with some of the information - better if you’re in the US I’d say, but not so good for UK - can’t really recommend as there are better options in the excellent EXIT series, albeit in a slightly different vein.
