I know that the designer of this game is sensitive to comments from those who have rated this game low without finishing his game. However, I feel that we really tried and got as far as we could. As Boston residents, and lovers of literature, who have frequented the Providence Ætheneum just to soak up the Lovecraftian ambience, we were very much looking forward to this game. Yet this game is so intentionally obtuse, that it feel like it is actively fighting back at you at each turn. This may be accurately reflective of the source material, this game is objectively not fun and subjectively not good. To quote Zee Garcia, "The journey is fun. The destination then kicks you in the teeth." • Case 1: The Face – 0 points (The mission failed.) • Case 2: The Expedition – 1 point (The mission failed.) • Case 3: The House of the Sorcerer (Incomplete case – No solution found.) • Case 4: The Spartacus Case (Incorrect interrogation – No conclusion found.) • Case 5: The Gunboat (Did not play – Campaign abandoned.)
Demiss
Cases are really different from each other. The first 2 are very basic, nothing really new. But the 3 others are really worth playing, they bring really new clever mechanics and make the cases very interesting.

It was recomended by my game bar owners , Imagin a pub full of people playing laughing etc... and even tho at each step of investigation i was more in Arkham surrounded by crime scenes , darkness of the street, Ambience so deep it' s difficult to describe. Scenarios are Genius Graphics are stunning If you love Lovecraftian games / Lore it's a must have !
