Evolves the SHCD system in a positive way, for a long time I thought that that wasn't something that was even possible. I have yet to finish the set but I look forward to seeing what other surprises are waiting for me

Game is very good overall, the scenarios introduce enough new concepts to make it interesting. Supernatural aspects make each scenario a bit harder than in standard Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective cases. Cases 1 and 2 are pretty standard ones that are similar to those from Sherlock Holmes in basic structure, both stories are really good, they have amazing lovecraftian climate. Case 3 is really challenging and quite long - it takes at least 2 hours to solve. The writing is good, but there is too much gore in some descriptions. I wouldn't recommend playing that one with minors. Case 4 has different structure - you get set of files about suspects and there are loads of them. This one has the most reading and looks as the most polished one. It was pretty challenging as well, it took my group more than 4 hours to complete, pratially due to the amount of reading required. There is only one big drawback - the last scenario is very, very bad. It seems developers were asked to design 5 cases and had good ideas for 4 only - it wasn't play tested enough - it's hard to get the context, what is really going in there. There was not enough effort put to the writing as well - there are many places where you can go in that last scenario, but only couple of them introduce any significant information to get to the finale. It makes no sense to introduce map this big and tell the player you can go anywhere, when it doesn't make any sense to explore. The scenario is very linear and it's enough if you visit all the places mentioned in the starting and following locations that are directly mentioned in descriptions. You don't need to find out where to go next, there's no deduction needed at all. We solved the last case without really understanding what's going on even when we dicovered 14 out of 16 clues designed for this case. Very anticlimactic finale.
