Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Um bom jogo familiar que engana pela simplicidade. Aqui é mais interessante impedir e pontuar em cima da falta de atenção dos outros.

Just received this game and still unopened. I first heard of it on a YouTube review, and then found it cheap on Ebay, so decided to have a little punt on it

Hoof. This game is terrible. There's almost no decisions to be made (or at least interesting fun decisions). Terribly random, and it has a mechanic where tiles get removed from the game as Atlantis sinks. We played a game that lasted around an hour, and only one tile actually sunk. This was like a main/important mechanic. There's 15 tiles. Only one got removed by the end of the game. Let that sink in. Because those tiles sure didn't. I felt so bad for everyone at the table I played this with. I was so excited to play it, but it was absolutely atrocious. I normally look at players with scorn when the phones come out during boardgame time. But this game was such a total snoresfest, I would've excused everyone bringing out the phones to spare themselves from interacting with this game. It's a shame because the game is aesthetically pleasing and the components are lovely (save for the toolboxes. Just... why?) But good art doth not a good boardgame makes. As many in the hobby know. Definitely don't pick this up. Literal monopoly was almost more interesting than this game.
