This was brutally hard. It’s not fully clear whether the return to rules instruct you to add any treacheries at all when exploring, so we played with the pre-return to exploration rules. They’re devastating (and this scenario in particular has a ridiculous difficulty). After getting trounced on easy, it’s hard to believe this one went through much testing. Especially since TFA is one of our players first campaign, I felt pretty bad about the experience as a whole (and one player seemed visibly bummed by halfway through).

Highlights: * Atmosphere of switching locations works. It’s thematic. * Scenario is really hard, even on easy difficulty. * Encounter deck has some flavorful cards (Timeline Destabilization). * Final plot twist was awesome. * Cool design of discovering clues and alternative win con. Complains: * Encounter deck has some non-flavorful cards (basically all Cultists). * Scenario has weird doom mechanic - it do not fit to the theme. * Location changing path was fine, but mechanically easy to forget and mot that much flavorful.
