Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.
Role Playing
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

Very little effort from FFG. Publishing a container box two years after the core set doesn't seem a very good idea after all. But the quality of the box itself is not great. If you flip the internal lid, it is just ugly; if you don't, you can only host very few cards. A bad designed tool. About the campaign, I don't like the fact that they simply upgraded the original content: why not producing new content instead of reboiling the same water? It feels like a missed chance to improve this already great game. If you consider the price - more than two times a single scenario - it is really a poor element to add to one's collection.

This product just adds modifications to the existing scenarios. I like the layout changes to the house in The Gathering. All other changes I’ve seen so far unexcite me. When I learned about this product, I thought that it meant a literal return to the original scenarios or environment. Like the Night of the Zealot campaign was completed, and now you’re going back to the same place. Nope. It’s just new versions of the original stuff. The box is huge and this is where the bulk of the expense comes from. The box is about 90% empty. Overall, this product isn’t a good value for the money. The huge box is meant to be a storage solution but it’s way too late for people who’ve been playing for a while now.

not much addition in terms of cards. but for what it is (expansion to only 3scenarios) is pretty well done, add more variety to the game-play. The last scenario is made to be much more difficult than the original however, which means that it is too freaking hard to beat with the add-on. A solid container for cards from other expansions too (standalone scenarios, etc.).
