A complicated version of Elder Signs with all the great parts trimmed out and a bunch of unnecessary stuff added in. So not only did it lose all the tension that makes Yahtzee and Elder Signs fun, but the additions drag the game down and make it hard to follow.

Sure, it definitely took a base from Elder Sign but then tweaked and changed a whole bunch of things. Fun to try to get into the relationships between the XMen, and rp some things out. Designers clearly knew their lore.

Not sure why the hate on this. It's fine as a dice-rolling co-op game, using the same engine as Elder Sign. In fact it's probably a bit better but it has the same basic flaw, which that when the dice don't come up, it's a frustrating failure about which you can do nothing.
