Really just more of the same. This can be easily mixed in with the base game and taught without increasing the complexity much.

More birds! This is somewhere between Oceania & Europe. It has a few elements that I don't really care about (Duet, 6-7 players), but it doesn't have any of the nectar nonsense from Oceania, and most importantly, it has more amazing bird cards. And it also has some new goal cards, including an update of 3 of them which I appreciated. Oh yeah, and new brown eggs. Excellent for a big Wingspan fan.

The duet mode is pretty nifty and the new birds are absolutely gorgeous. We played our first game with just the Asia birds, and they were beautiful. They're a lot more interactive than previous birds, which makes sense for a 2p standalone game. There's some new ideas, and the new predator abilities are interesting. Abilities did feel a bit repetitive, but I know that won't be a problem once it's shuffled in with everything else. As for the Flock mode, I don't know that I have any desire to play Wingspan at 6 or 7 players. I don't really want to play it at 4+. I love the artwork of the new playmats, and wish it was the standard art for them. Solid expansion, and managed to fit all of it into the base box (minus flock components and automata cards). No nesting box for me yet!
