Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

I can understand why the game fails in multiplayer mode with so many players; with three or four players it is difficult to control and you cannot plan your moves in advance. This leads to long downtimes. With two players, however, this is tolerable. For me personally, however, the game shines in solo mode! The various challenges make it varied and not easy to master. A great puzzle with different aspects every time. It should also be just as fun to play cooperatively, even if I have not tried that yet.

01/23: Great optics, but very simple gameplay with a much to long playtime. Cut both rounds 2 and 3, and it gets better - but still rather mediocre. Sold.

Points for it looking very pretty but somehow both too hard and too easy. Post round one, getting animals where you want is trivial for the most part and when they're not, getting it done doesn't feel good, feels like a slog. And on the other side, there's way too much information overload, it's worse than 4d chess. On top of all that, the set collection feels like you're making no progress since for half of them, you need to get the right combo of cards to profit off them. In general this game made me sad, because it looks so nice.
