60m - 90m
1 - 5 Players
Ages 12+
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Less victory point giving visitors makes the "no wine" strategy slightly less viable. I havent decided if this is for the better or worse, but I am using this deck anyway because my original deck was ruined by the moor visitors. So this is now my standard visitor deck. Eh, sure...

I said Viticulture is not a good strategy game, and that its charm revolves around the immersion supported by its design. Well, one part of the design that does not support the immersion are the sometimes very powerful visitors. This expansion fixes this, and the lure of seeking visitors to the detriment of your vinyard. I'll therefore rate this highly, but I'll lower the basegame rating because you should not need an expansion to fix a game.
ciggie
A solid expansion that adds 2 new visitor decks to play with instead of what is in the base game. It's hard to feel that these cards are significantly different, but I do feel like they give you more options. With the base cards many are situational and can easily be discarded at certain points in the game, however the cards in Rhine often offer multiple choices which makes them more flexible and more decisions. All in all a solid set of cards and will be happy to play with these to change up the game.
