Deck building/Pool building refers to a collection of related mechanisms. Players have a personal pool, or collection, of cards or tokens, that provide different actions and/or resources. A subset of those cards/tokens are randomly drawn each turn.
Deck / Pool Building
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

As far as deck builders go, this game is simultaneously unique and familiar. You build your deck, and a small tableau of buildings by purchasing from Odin's path (a row similar to ascension or star realms), or from set buildings and cards in stacks (much like dominion). You can also attack opponents buildings, but mostly this just nets you victory points, and doesn't ruin buildings or anything like that. As such, it's interactive without being in your face or take-that, which I love! The engine building is simple but fairly unique, and it puts this game into the category of "deck-builder but with something more". You've seen everything this game has to offer already in games like dominion, ascension, and maybe a little bit of Race for the galaxy, but to my knowledge, no other game puts all of these things together. This game does so, and does it well. The variety the expansions could add might raise this rating in the future, but for now it's still an excellent game that I'd recommend trying if you like any of the other games I mentioned.

I love the theme of this game. It is a very fun, different deck builder. It is great for families. I love the artwork. It is a great game all around! I love that you don't hurt the other players you just get point for your self
