Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

It is an interesting take on the deckbuilder. It makes its mark from having interesting card abilities. These synergize in fun, unique ways. It is really the only draw style deckbuilder I have found tolerable. I still find myself wanting to play an open deckbuilder every time. This is the reason for the 6/10. Edit: Recently found it to be more fun with its great combos and player interaction when using the right sets. 7/10

Nice deck builder with the tomb being an interesting way to score points. Some of the 'Take that' cards (canopic jars) caused some frustration at times.

The pitch: A dominion-style deckbuilder centered upon egyptian theming and a unique pyramid-based market. The good: The pyramid-based market IS very original and a great new take on this genre in general. Great production values in this edition. Relatively easy to teach. The bad: Game has too much hate, in general. Emphasis on embalming & card destruction meant most of us were playing with
