In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.
Action Point Allowance System
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.

Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

reduced from 7 to 6 for the following reasons: I still like the game and the theme - the material is good as well and the mechanism is absolutely cool. But: beside the fact that the rulebook is terrible there are simply too many confusing wired rules that make the game more and more confusing. What is missing here is definitely a streamlining of the rules. Compared with other games on a similar complexity level I decided for those reasons tor reduce the rating to 6 - there are a lot of games available, that create the same atmosphere and gameplay impression but provide a better rulebook and better designed mechanics.

Once I knew what I was doing this quickly became an addictive game. The solo is easy to use, although those who are more skilled than I find it too easy to beat (the manual lists ways to make it harder though.) I use the first three listed tweaks to make it harder and that seems to be about right for me (45% win rate)

Perhaps one of the most frustratingly unorganised and unclear rulebook I’ve ever read. However, after clarifying some things through BGG, this game can be very enjoyable with lots of replayability. You are alchemists competing to create the most effective potions through the best combination of element and essence. After rolling the fateful dice, there is an exciting tension fighting for action points and the ingredients for your potions. The slightly different tactics between characters are also a pleasure to discover and develop.
