In Action Point (AP) Allowance System games, each player is allotted a certain amount of points per round. These points can be spent on available actions, until the player does not have enough remaining to "purchase" any more actions.
Action Point Allowance System
Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

the main problem of this game is the rules. There's a chart of symbols with no explanation of each card or how they modify the symbols and what they mean. The rules are ambiguous in places and not clear answers on BGG. The game itself is very tight and very punishing. You can only select 9 dice throughout the whole game and you'll need much more than that to pull off interesting things. So you more or less design a strategy around picking up bonuses that allow you to follow another players turn, modify your dice, etc to fill in the gaps. You might be unlucky with card drafts and point cards being divergent strategies. The transmutation is the focus of the game and trying to figure out the most optimal path to produce what you need. Because of the tightness this is very challenging and feels like one large math problem. It's definitely a game you need to be in the mood for and lots of focus as you are very limited on mistakes. However if your timing is right then it can be fairly rewarding to pull off big moves and there is limited luck outside the draft and initial dice rolls.

The game has some interesting mechanics that I like, but it is tedious, it is complicated, but not because you have to focus (that too), but it is difficult because you have to pay attention to many things that the game does not make easier (the board, iconography , etc ..). The game does not help the player, there are many rules that are not clear, the board and the iconography do not make it easier for you to do it. No interaction, it doesn't matter if you're playing solo or with someone.

Good game, it wouldve been perfect game if the game was one round shorter with drafting 4 dice each round or the third round with one dice less. In a two player game at the last round we were practicly done with everything. Spamming tracks and getting yet another publication card is just repetetive and makes earlier choices random, both completed the philosopher stone, 6 artifacts and couple of them replaced. I like my euros tight. Trismegistus is not tight enough for me.
