Fun little card game. seems very well tested, since scores are always in a tight range. There is a little involved in drawing new Cards but thats ok. Great artwork and very well produced.

Game is available solo on [bgcolor=#62ffff]Tabletopia[/bgcolor]. It isn't coop and you play for points. Solo guy: "This game is very cool. So easy to pick up and play - and quick too. Solo mode is near identical to multiplayer, just with less table talk. Great example of using cards for multiple reasons and some nice goals/judges to chase down. Deluxe set I have (in a wine bottle-sized box) with the playmat and specific sleeves is a delight. "

Kickstarter - PnP copy. This is a very good tableau-building game where each player competes to build the most valuable town by collecting multi-use cards. Turns flow quickly as each player performs just two actions per turn by default. Each card may be taken as the foundation of a building, as one of three resources (stone, wood or straw) or as a gold coin. By combining cards appropriately on each turn to fulfill requirements printed on the foundations, a player constructs buildings in their district. Once constructed, these buildings will be worth victory points at game end. Sounds simple, but the key to winning is to thoughtfully exploit the special abilities printed on certain cards, that become available once the cards are constructed. These special abilities grant many powers, from extra actions per turn, to making buildings cheaper to build, and even to causing a little bad luck to befall your opponents. There are also randomly selected awards to aim for during play, as well as judges who will grant end game bonuses to districts that fulfill the judges’ requirements. Town Builder Coevorden provides a decent solo experience, and really shines as a multiplayer game. It is puzzly without being too brain-burny, exciting without being too take-that, and provides just the right amount of challenge for a family-friendly gateway game that is crunchy enough for gamers as well. I have played the game five times so far — twice solo, three times at the 4-player count. Each time, scores were closely competitive, with no runaway leader issues, and everyone feeling like they had a shot at winning the game. To me, this indicates that the game has been rigorously tested, and polished to a high gloss. I am very happy to have this pretty, well-designed game in my collection.
