 communal cards  strategically shallow  tediously tactical I don't enjoy trick taking games, and Trick-Taking fans don't like this. Add some Take That and Variable Player Powers and it might be tolerable?

Everything I liked about Tournament at Camelot still applies here. Avalon feels even more crazier and swingier! I'm not sure yet which one I prefer. Both are good fun. (15.12.2021) So much fun. Stories from our last game: The WR for most damage taken was broken three times, Lancelot rode to the joust in a bottle (Entombed) and stripped of special cards! And in the end Galahad won despite taking WR damage by downing the contents of the Grail! Now, please somebody make a version with regular sized cards, shuffling those tarot cards is a pain! (12.10.2023) Upping the rating to 9 (from 8). I think this just ekes out its predecessor, because Avalon is (or at least) even more crazier, and that is exactly what these games are about. In our last session we broke the WR for most damage again and it was magnificent. (29.11.2023)
