Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Positives: - base dice drafting mechanism is clean and pretty straightforward but well balanced between resource gathering and action points for the 5 different actions in the game. - Plenty of interesting decision points in the game, especially regarding qualifying for fairs vs. optimizing point scoring opportunities surrounding them. I was often caught between qualifying for scoring, optimizing the point scoring opportunities for said fairs, or other more optimal actions based on the dice available. Thought this was great. - this game is ALL about the combos you can create with the bonus tiles. There are 2-3 turns per game where you can just go off scoring a bunch of points, utilizing the tiles/resources you’ve gathered in previous turns. This is fun. Negatives: - WAY more accounting than I was expecting given the simplicity of the actions. You may get 4-6 action points per turn based off your dice draft plus another 2-4 from bonus tiles, plus there are a bunch of free actions you can perform. The order of these actions also can matter quite a bit, and there was a lot of “wait I can’t do that, no wait yes I can” around the table. This might get better with future plays - Above leads to a lot of AP. 4 players took 2 hours 20 minutes, which is where I would expect this game to land. 30-40 minutes per player depending on familiarity with the game. Also there’s not a ton of forward planning you can do on other people’s turns so if people take a while for their turn, either comboing or thinking, the others on the table can be left waiting. - the king track (and respective action) was SUPER bland. Much prefer GAH or Lorenzo

A delightful Euro that has all the hallmarks of that label: tight actions, a variety of ways to score, push around each other with plausible deniability intermediates, mechanical depth to explore, and a theme that is dull (and more kindly nonsensical). I loved it.

간단하면서 고민하게 되는 주사위 드래프팅. 한정된 꽤 자리싸움도 있는 편이라 누구와 하기에도 적당한 게임이라고 생각함. 세팅이 귀찮은게 단점.
