Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A really fun dueling and double guessing card game. Played it again after some time and was impressed how good it actually is.

2 player card version of Stratego with more options by Richard Borg (Memoir 44). Players try to find one particular card of the opponent to win the game. You move cards face-down on the board like the standees in Stratego. + Very good artwork + Multiple win conditions + Bluffing elements + Balanced, subtle strategies. Tension and balancing act between establishing your own board presence, developing a strategy, and trying to check your opponent # Symmetric decks # Requires some table space (big cards) Similar games: * Hera and Zeus (predecessor, text is not on the card and has to be looked up on a reference sheet) * Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation (Stratego like game, hidden units) * Shadows in Kyoto * Stratego (hidden units) * Haven (2 player area control game with press-your-luck and hand management)

Want to play this but probably would not want to buy it because I heard that the cards seem very big and you need to have large table to play it.
