Thrash’n Roll
45m - 90m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 12+
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Surprisingly fun game. The rules were hard to decode but once we started playing the theme carried them quite nicely and made errors seem illogical. A bit too long/slow for what it delivers and a tendency to snowball which makes players who have fallen behind feel left out brings down the score for me.

A good dice placement game with a theme that I really liked. Also, the mechanics mostly made sense and it was good fun playing it. However, the scoring phases and the possible actions and uses of the cards were a bit confusing. It could have been a little more polished. On a side note, I really did not like the artwork, but if the game is good I can look past that. I wish they made even another revision of this game, more polished and with great artwork. Would pick it up for sure.

Missed opportunity with the theme has been mentioned enough, although if you ignore the thrash metal part, is is thematic very strong. Playability is not so smooth with a lot of weird rules. Not enough tested and feels like a rushed final product.
