Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

First play 11/21/22. Lost by 1 point (5 player game)! My very last round was a combo-tastic extra action extravaganza. Pretty fun. There were some questions about the rules that we had to dip onto BGG for, and some of the rules were a bit unnecessarily fiddly. That could have been streamlined. I like the way the game plan starts to shape as the options start to dwindle, and I really enjoyed the way players controlled the length of the game. This also was a detriment to some players who got stuck without an extra turn.

The game provokes terrible AP, buyer and group beware. The fact that you're deciding more or less two to three turns in advance and still need to do your current turn as something useful... i don't have AP per usual and i'm good at just keeping the game running, but it broke my brain trying to perform a turn at all, let alone a half-decent one.

I played it once with 5 players, and I do not think it is likely that I will play it again. The action selection mechanism is nice, but the game feels to be way too short, fairly random, and unbalanced.
