This is a great little box for those who are huge West Kingdom fans. The meat-and-potatoes in this box, the eponymous Tomesaga, mixes up the base games in the trilogy in interesting little ways and adds a cool new metagame layer. The box also includes co-op modes for each game in the trilogy, which I have yet to try. I'm a big fan of Garphill's solo modes, though, and I know that they make pretty good AI systems, so I have little reason to doubt the quality of the AIs for the co-op games.

Not sure if I'll ever play the Tomesaga content itself, but the promo content for the West Kingdom trilogy games alone is worth it for me.

Hard to rate at this point. Have not yet played the Tomesaga. It's hard enough to get one game to the table, let alone a three game "campaign." The idea seems cool, but I've yet to try it. Played solo a couple times—super hard! I'm probably just not a good enough player to make a go of it, but since the solo versions of each of the individual games are already good, there is no great loss, I suppose. Verdict is still out.
