Games that use the Memory mechanic require players to recall previous game events or information in order to reach an objective.
Memory
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
In games with a trading mechanic, the players can exchange game items between each other.
Trading

Spanish Kickstarter Edition Still pending to play but goddamn the rulebook is a mess already to understand, although it's nice that it came with a lot of bags & fits all nice.

Being relatively new to the table top scene, this review might be a bit naive, but hopefully it helps anyone who might still be on the fence deciding to give this game a shot. First, it is quite difficult to stamp a single rating due to how dynamic and different the experience can be when playing either the adversary or the investigators. Personally, I found the adversary side very enjoyable. Each adversary is unique and being able to choose different abilities sort of allows you to develop a bit of a playstyle which feels rewarding going from game to game coming up with clever ways to takedown each group. The adversary gameplay really makes me want to give this a rating closer to a 9. On the other hand, like any other co-op experience, playing the investigator is heavily dependent on the type of group that you have. If your group tends to have that person who likes to venture off and see just how bad things could really be going off on your own, there is a good chance the adversary is going to seem unreasonable at the start. Investigators can try to step up and make some suggestions to help the situation but when you are up against an unfamiliar adversary it can feel a bit punishing. With that said, some groups, whether it is from similar game experiences or just sheer circumstance just seem to click right away. If you land in this sort of group then I'm sure you'll enjoy this almost immediately. My main criticism around the investigators is the difficulty to develop an individual play style. I understand that the investigators can't be over kitted due to the team dynamic, but the investigators don't have the same skill progression feeling as the adversaries. You can definitely get better with the group you are playing with, but I'd like to feel like I am improving with investigator of my choice as well. Based on my experiences so far the investigator gameplay feels closer to a 7 for me. All things considered, I've played with a number of groups and seen the vast majority if not all of them have a great time. Even with some of my criticisms, I've found a number of groups that would probably flip the ratings around in favor of the investigators. If you end up picking this up I'd recommend taking the time try both an adversary and an investigator you might surprise yourself.

I really wanted to like this game more. I Kickstarted it, I was excited for it to get here and play it, and it just didn't live up to our expectations. The Good -The flashlight mechanic is genuinely very cool -A variety of different investigators offers different strategies between groups -The components, while too numerous for my taste (so many tiny cardboard circles), are all good quality and are stored nicely The Bad -The rulebook is kind of a shambles. Important details are buried in unrelated paragraphs, some key parts of actions aren't included on character reference cards -The balancing is awful. I understand that the developers have been very adamant that the adversary should win the first few games, and as investigators get more experienced they should start winning as well. Here's the thing: playing the game is frustrating enough that no one in my group cares enough to BECOME experienced. We've played multiple games against both the Butcher and the Insatiable Horror, and all of them have been incredibly one-sided. The Horror especially feels incredibly bad to play against. I'm writing this review after the devs posted a New Player Mode in their latest Kickstarter update (and also reminded folks to come leave an honest review, so here I am), and their minimal changes don't really solve any of my gripes. It also kind of feels like if you're patching your game this soon after release for difficulty, maybe you didn't play test nearly well enough? Anyway, in conclusion, this is one of maybe 2 games in my life that I actively regret Kickstarting. I cannot in good conscience recommend that anyone purchase or play this.
