Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management

Good game, although the collaboration can be overwhelming. Nice parts. Can be confusing for newbies to pick up the intent of the game first off. Needs explaining.

This game truly shines as a cooperative game. While the board is linear, the experience of joining together to destroy the one ring is a fun, rewarding, and quite exciting journey for all involved. My wife and I truly enjoy it. Excellent!

Very fun to play coop-game. Although its been many years since this game got developed I still enjoy playing it. Of course a lot of luck is involved in drawing the right cards, but my group enjoys coop-games and its all about getting a new highscore.
