This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Just played my first play and am happily impressed. game comes to an abrupt halt as soon as someone places their 6th token so everyone's keeping an eye out in the final rounds. bit of bluffing, bit of working together in area control to trigger the areas, but you definitely want the majority if you can get it. mostly the fun is in surprising your enemies by taking their things, cool card abilities and the hidden worker placement idea that ends up seeming a bit like poker when you win an area undefeated and you can take them back without showing what you placed there. we barely moved the penniless king haha. really cool stuff.

Nice concept and easy rules. Unnecessary randomness and not the best rulebook taking fun away. I'd rather play Godfather

Easy and very interactive. Some parts of the maps are used way more than others, and combinations are very simple, probably too much.
