Terra Mystica: Fire & Ice has the original factions brace themselves for new competitors: Yetis – the masters of power, Ice Maidens – who adore their Temples, Acolytes – whose entire life is focused on the cults, and Dragonlords – who use their power to create volcanoes. And as if this wasn’t enough, there are two more factions, Shapeshifters and Riverwalkers, who ignore the most basic of rule of one faction, one terrain type. (Inconceivable to the Halflings!)

8/19/17: The extra races and board are nice, but I'm not sure that they are balanced. I don't feel that the expansion is necessary or compelling.
Beaushek
A more balanced board, new drafting mechanics, new races, new scoring options. This expansion feels like the developers took data of 100,000 plays of this game and honed it into a balanced masterpiece.

A great expansion! The new board is very nice and the new races are... well, interesting. They push-pull without necessitating a new land terrain and, while that's economical and efficient, it makes them a little bit fiddly. The added diversity is nice, but the new races lack the cleaner feel of the original ones. Still, a fantastic expansion for a wonderful game.
