In Teotihuacan: City of Gods, each player commands a force of worker dice, which grow in strength with every move. On your turn, you move a worker around a modular board, always choosing one of two areas of the location tile you land on: one offering you an action (and a worker upgrade), the other providing you with a powerful bonus (but without an upgrade).

Amazing game with clever use of dice. Tons of variability and plays well with all player counts. A bit of a steep learning curve though.

Filled with theme and fantastic components though some bespoke dice would have capped it off. Kudos for the configurable board. And the smoothest bot I’ve ever operated that makes you feel there’s indeed another player’s turn going on in its execution. (But boy, is this bot built on a heavy foundation of cheats!) I agree with calls for an expansion making the game playable co-op: that would indeed add purpose. Still, all said, Teotihuacan is an easy to learn, polished game heavy on decision making and beautifully rendered.

Very solid Euro. Lots of replayability with ability to randomize locations of activation areas and changing options for technology and one-use bonuses. If you like Euros, you'll like this. That said, somewhat of a steep learning curve on all of the things you need to update on the board when you take actions - almost need an app or a cheat card to remind you what needs to be updated as you take actions - easier with more plays, but will be a challenge for the first couple of plays for most folks.
