Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Amazing game, my partner and I bought this 3 years ago and still take it on every trip we go on. We mostly play it as a 1v1 game but it is also good with 3 or 4 players. It never gets old or boring to play as we’ve found with other 1v1 games, but I must say we had to play 3 or 4 games before understanding the rules; it’s definitely worth persisting with past 1 or 2 games!

[ This is SpyNet, just given a weird entry in bgg.] Fun game where what you choose has some deep impact. The basic card/teamplay and powers are interesting but the three piles of cards that grow in volume every round they are let be leads to some interesting choices. Do you take the card you need, or take a larger pile thats sat longer keeping possibly vital cards out of peoples hands? Add in if you play cards you can't take a pile and it becomes about managing your actions and others resources rather then simply playing your hand.

All in the timing. Underestimated, perhaps because it’s trickier than it looks—it can be hard to say which decision won or lost a game. For those interested in tricky cardplay or lane battlers (like Battle Line or Air Land & Sea), SpyNet is worth a close look.
