Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling

This game has some great aspects, and some less than stellar ones. The treasure hunting portion of this game is really quite fun. I enjoy figuring out (or essentially, deciding) where the Treasure of the God of the Sun is, and messing with the opposing team during this section. It feels quite a bit like a Player versus Player match with a deduction layer. Then the relic's location is revealed and things start to drag. The die-heavy combat (and the combat in general) is not very engaging. It results in a tug-of-war for the amulet that lasts far longer than is welcome. The teams find themselves shifting positions on the map slightly, and waiting for good dice luck so one can finally KO the other all at once. Then they run far enough away to guarantee victory and the game ends. I wish the half of the game after the treasure hunt had been designed differently, as it's a slog of an ending to a cool treasure hunting phase.
