Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That

Great new title for the Smash Up line! I think the Marvel universe fits in perfectly with the mechanics of this game and I think this is a great partnership between The Op and AEG! If you are a fan of Marvel or Smash Up then this would be a no-brainer.

While there's a lot to like in this game, there's also A LOT to read on the cards. When you add that on to some confusing rules/cards, there's definitely potential for some alternate perceptions of when and how to use certain abilities that could really change your game. Not a game I look forward to teaching.

It's a fun one! I love that it still has some unique plays and it didn't come with additional anchors like munchkin or chulu had. This may be one of the most straight forward sets. I think if I was introducing a friend to smash up I would start right here, Easy to understand cards. Theme of each team and their play style seems to be matching up well. In general its a little odd because this is like smash up selling out. Selling out isn't really a problem, I think it really gains something with having a premade expansive universe; being comics as they are already leand themselves to smashing up aka crossovers; themes and styles are predetermined.....it goes on BUT I feel like smash up has so long been building on their own flavor of parody that this doesn't feel like the same flavor is there. It could have used 2 more factions to try to even out the balance. The art is a bit all over the place, albeit not as bad as it could be but still a bit uneven. marvel fans will get more out of this than non-marvel fans. Not too bad though that a smash up fan is required to like marvel to like this set. Im sure plenty more comic/marvel related packs are being negotiated. If they keep being this good though I don't mind too much. Smash up fan? get it new to smash up? get it think this is just a cash grab? Your right, but its still good
