Art is good, design is good in the way that it is modular with boss, moster decks, common monster cards, alliance decks and castles. But although I like it and can appreciate it, it isn't (for me) very satisfying to play. Will continue to try other decks but it is very easy to fail if you don't balance monster generation in order to kill them to gain cards and stalling e.g. no monsters and unable to kill the outsider nor have monsters to kill and unable to generate cards.

PvE Cooperative / solo tower defense fantasy card game. You try to defense a line of 6 card slots with your allies creatures. Each card has special abilities. The enemy tries to damage and destroy your castle. You try to damage three stages of the enemy including the end boss. # Variability: deck construction, mix and match decks (enemy and player). High potential for further expansion. # Resource management to pay and play cards. # Luck of the draw. # Mana is not lost at the end of a turn.

Quick impressions after four solo plays: Solo mode flows smoothly. It does feel a little like a digital card game, maybe because it plays so quickly. I need to play some of the other decks and Outsiders to get a better feel for combat. I also need to get used to the limited card draw. I ran out of cards in-hand a couple of times already. I bought the retail deluxe version. The box and insert are very flimsy but the actual components are nice.
