I could not really get into this one. Lot's of reading but maybe I am not good at investigating creims.

Case 1 (The Death of a Teetotaller) : I liked the new setting and the case was quite immersive. It was marred by a few typos and awkward wording (maybe a result of translation?). I got the gist of the case fairly easily, but some of the smaller details were harder to figure out. Case 2 (The Twisted Trail) : A convoluted and ultimately unsatisfying case. Very challenging. Case 3 (The Defenestrated Novice) : This case is so bad. The bizarre title hints at the terrible translation; the case is riddled with awkward phrases and strange word choices. The mystery itself might have been passable if the writing wasn't so awful. Really disappointing that a case this bad, which obviously wasn't proofread by a native English speaker, is included in this edition. Case 4 (The Retired Colonel) : A very good case with a satisfying solution. Unfortunately it is marred once again by some poor writing/translation issues. Case 5 (The Triple Homicide) : Mediocre. Case 6 (The Devil's Ransom) : Extremely challenging. Case 7 (The Murderer Lives at 221B Baker Street) : Pretty ridiculous plot. Very convoluted case. Some of these cases rely on twists rather than good plots and satisfying mysteries. Case 8 (Queen's Park - Day 1) : Excellent so far. Really excited to see where this case is going. Hopefully the quality stays high and redeems this box set for me. Case 9 (Queen's Park - Day 2) : Still really enjoying this case. It's getting very complicated with many different plots/trails to chase. Case 10 (Queen's Park - Day 3) : Wow, great case. One of the best in the whole series. I was onto the main plot by the second day, but certainly didn't figure out all the minute details. This case went a long way to redeeming this box set for me.

Played one game so far, we were too thourough despite figuring out the case earlier on. Inexperience we'll call it. Beautifully done and very interesting to play. We will keep it in good condition and sell it on when we are done with it, as we can only play it 10 times. No rating yet, will have to play more, but we like it.
