Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Games using the line drawing mechanic involve the drawing of lines in one way or another. Lines may be used to connect objects as in Sprouts, to isolate objects, or to create areas as in the classic Dots and Dashes, also known as Square-it.

As soon as I sat down to playtest this game for the first time I was instantly thematically drawn into the challenge of exploring Königsberg’s Seven bridges. Or maybe i am just stubborn and wanted to try and prove it could be mastered. Either way this game is not just a casual walk in the park it’s all about strategising the best way of drafting dice to create the most efficient route to try to cross all seven bridges whilst visiting landmarks which enable you to unlock, use or reserve bonuses. And if that’s not enough there is also the challenge of going solo against EULER... and yes Euler is one tough opponent who will willingly steal any points you don’t explore. This aspect makes you want to play again and again to show Euler you are the Master of Seven Bridges. The instructions and simple scoring mechanics of both the solo and multiple player games are easy to understand and implement which makes this game a quick enjoyable pick up and play. If you love traveling and strategising over which route is the best way to go to see all the sites in a limited amount of turns or you just want to beat Euler then this game may just be for you. Here’s hoping there will be more maps to explore from my comfort of my living room in the future. Congratulations Ron.... I can’t wait to see the published version.

It's fine for what it is...but I prefer other route building roll and writes to this one. It feels messy and not as smooth.

As far as my own personal roll or flip and write journey goes, it has been a joy to stroll through the streets of Königsberg. Seven Bridges has cemented itself as one of my absolute favourites not just in the roll and write genre, but any genre. I will play this game whenever someone wants to, and even play it solo as I enjoy it so much. I wholeheartedly recommend trying this one!
