Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

After 4 solo plays with V2 app and new rules and faction guides. I scaled up the victory conditions as it was too easy solo. Engaging so far. The game's rating was punished for being unready and incomplete upon release but now, the problems seemed to have been resolved and the game is quite playable.

8/29/22 Updated The App has improved a ton and is much easier to navigate and adventures feel tailored to your experiences. Rulebook has improved. The music leaves much to be desired and the race mechanic I still don't think fits very well. But at the end of the day it's still a very fun pirate adventure. Minis are amazing. Gameplay Each faction behaves differently which is nice, the rulebook definitely needs improvement so keep that online FAQ and errata handy. App Logic in the app is fine for navigating your adventures. The music is forgettable. However the adventures are very generic and the stories that I have seen thus far are very standard pirate adventures. Overall It's a fine game, but nothing about it makes it amazing. The race mechanic of the game feels like it rushes the adventure.
