Surprisingly quick game play (only 12 turns) and very reminiscent of [thing=183251][/thing] as you are all optimising your own board with the same pieces. However its just sort of a bit bland. It doesn't really do anything different. If I wanted to play a tetris puzzle like game I have Blokus and I have Karuba for the same layout optimisation. Scarabya doesn't do anything new of different although it is really nice and the artwork is pretty. Donated to Firestorm games library 2019.

Let's try to fit a set of pentominoes into a grid. Depending on which version we're playing, either enclose or cover up the scoring squares. There's not a lot to this game, but it's fun.

Great filler, but very similar to NMBR9 which I already own. Would happily play again but would not buy only because of that.
