Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Awkers
Had first play through of the KS edition. Thought it was a good fun game, the players seemed to interact with eachother well, revelling in each others miss fortune as the zombies piled up! Didn't use the event dice this time but will probably introduce it later. Good push your luck element with the dice and several ways to use them to make the decisions varied.

First Impressions Some irritating rules ambiguity aside, the components are more colorful and the game is redesigned to be a bit quicker and more streamlined. I can see the fun in both versions and appreciate the art in either.

I really enjoy the cartoony, but still creepy, zombie theme. While it is definitely luck-based, the unique player powers that can turn combinations of dice, including the negative zombie head results, into various super-powered positive effects is really cool and fun. It can be kind of funny when you realize a strategic advantage to killing off a thematically obnoxious follower. I don't care for the small amount of built in screw-your-neighbor mechanics. Overall, good dice-chucking fun.
