The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Voting allows players to influence the outcome of certain events within the game. The vote may be all or nothing, choosing a target for an effect, or to determine the results of certain situations. Players’ votes may not have equal weight, and blocking a player from voting can be a valid tactic.

This games is a standard Are you the traitor type of game. There is a bit of cool factor to the card art. But that is brought down by the fact it is all reused from other sets of Ravnica. Also the box on all of the ones at my local shop seem to have not been printed correctly as the box art is offset. As for the play you need 7 people minimum to keep it from being overly repetitive. If you want a game that is different each round you play this is not the game for you. It feels like a cash grab, something to put on a target shelf and get the new gamer to check out. It is not horrible but it is not amazing. Just very middle of the road.

Got sucked in by the magic theme and I like hidden roles games, but this one is just too clunky and not well balanced at all.

It's a pretty good social deduction game that has strengths and weaknesses compared to other games in the genre. The biggest weakness is the randomness, where depending on the order of the card flips the good guys can be in an impossible position regardless of what they do. There's a very varying degree of how much information each leader gives or needs, so it seems dumb to randomize them. I may house-rule to have a semi-random order instead. The biggest strength is the play time, it's faster than The Resistance and more involved than One Night Ultimate Werewolf. It's easy to learn as you can teach as you go and the low amount of voting options ensures that newbies are not overwhelmed. It also works well as a high player count game, because of these limitations. The randomness is slightly helped by the short playing time, but I still think the rules as written are plain dumb. Still, it's easy to house-rule it and when the game works, it feels like a less tense Resistance, which is nice as an alternative.
