Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Fun, hectic alien-killing madness. Great minis to paint, and pretty quick games. Co-Op game that's practically impossible to quarterback.

I've long wanted to play a game where you can just move little dudes around and make 'em shoot and this pretty much quenched that long-standing thirst. The chaos of the two minute bursts is awesome, you have enough time to act strategically but the pressure is on on act quicikly and make good choices and it's really fun to tear through a big chunk of aliens that previously seemed impossible. For the amount of components the rules were surprisingly easy to understand and the game runs pretty quickly, though the phase in-between where you have to manage alien moves can feel a bit long since it's a more rote routine. You do want to start jumping back into the chaos, but since you can chat strategy with your friends during that phase there's still something to do if you take advantage of the time.

Builds adrenaline like very few other games can do (similar feel to Captain Sonar, but more forgiving player count).
