Plague Inc.: The Board Game
60m - 60m
1 - 4 Players
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.
Tile Placement
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

Enjoyable enough, fairly light game which is sort of the opposite of Pandemic. The game is fairly chaotic with a load of 'take that' cards but the addition of a dice on one of the crucial scoring elements made it a little too random for me.

Love this game and the computer game it's based on. Some rules are quite fun (player who last washed their hands goes first and in the event of a tie first player to drop to the ground and pretentious to be dead wins). Companion app that goes with it is very helpful and prevents the need for a calculator. Only issues I have is the games a little bare bones right now and the single player version is either really hard or really easy but if the game get enough support they plan to add more stuff. Definitely worth the buy
