Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

This game is hard to grasp. Making your cards work together better and faster than your opponent is the challenge of it. Since each card can do 5 different things (only 4 after leaders are chosen) it's really tough to know when to play and where! It's great but its got a bit of a learning curve. The box is also terrible.

Cool little 2 player card game. The 5 different ways to use each card really makes for a deep gameplay experience. Nice retro videogame art. Full Review here - http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/936465/indie-game-the-card-game-a-pixel-tactics-review

Either we played sth wrong, either there is huge imbalance i.e. powerful Hikaru M-something leader. Second round I could attack (= third round) I killed the enemy's Leader. Just because very lucky draw? Huh, doubtful.
