[December 2020 - 6.9] I haven't been intrigued enough to come back to it. [July 2020 - 7.3] For a game dripping in theme, it feels almost abstract to me. The prime end-game scoring areas on the board are unknown early on, so you tend to focus on the objective-scoring tiles, while trying to dodge others. That doesn't quite give the sense of building up a long-term area-control strategy ... rather 2.5 rounds of racing to see who can position their animals best to achieve the objectives -- all-the-while learning more where it might be best to eventually move those animals -- and then a rush at the end to get them there. All that being said, it might be unique enough in my collection of area-control games, that it's worth keeping and playing when we're in the mood for something different. I enjoy the engine-building aspect of evolving your animal and the multi-use cards -- using them as currency for those evolutions, or as one-time special actions. And the starting asymmetries of the animals should keep plays varied. The rulebook probably could have used another pass or two. It seems very detailed -- to the point there is so much text, it's hard to find a specific rule -- and yet we ran into a lot of ambiguities (similar to Cosmic Encounter) about how player and card powers interact, or what power triggers first, etc. So it's definitely in need of an FAQ.

Really shines as a 4 player game. 3 is pretty good as well. Fewer than 4 players require bots to substitute for missing players. The AI is really easy to manage. Solo plays like higher player counts except that add an extra task to accomplish before the end of the game. The rules are easy to understand. The translation of the cards and some objective tiles need some work but have clarifications from the designer on bgg

Good area control kinda game. Rules are not always clear. Some translation errors on the cards for interim points. Deduction is also an important part, that is if you decide to ignore the survive track. I think this game is at it best with four players. Otherwise there is some overhead AI's to manage which seems a bit too fidly. I think scaling could be done in a better way. My 2 cents.
