Face dangerous new threats as a fifth virus spreads across the globe and Hot Zones make their entrance, changing the rules? for the worse! Fortunately, new medical experts have joined the fight to help you. Experimental Meds is a healthy dose of expansion contents to Pandemic: The Cure.

A decent edition to the original. Adds a ton of characters and dice as well as a new disease and a slight variation to the game.

Extraordinarily expensive given the components are really a rules leaflet and special 57 dice plus a pack of role and event cards. I'd pay a quarter of the price happily, half and think fair but at over $60 in UK I'd seriously think twice about buying this had I not ordered a copy in advance. One of my purple dice is badly made but usable. We played with the new occupations and won easily first game at standard difficulty: played the Mutation Challenge and enjoyed the purple dice but won first game. I like the expansion but for a weeks grocery shop money equivalent in the UK I'd think carefully about if you want it. If like me Pandemic: the Cure is your favourite Pandemic might be worth it. The problem really may be a strong dollar versus a weak pound and nothing more. We did lose the Hot Zone Challenge which uses yet another set of dice and was mildly amusing.

Amazing expansion to an already awesome game. Mirrors what On The Brink did for base Pandemic: jack that replayability through the roof. Like On The Brink, I do have some smaller issues with power creep in the roles. While greater abilities have been met with greater drawbacks, an experienced crew will have a much easier time with the new roles. Being said, they mesh well with the originals, and their mechanics are fun.
