Lead the Netherlands into the Industrial Age in the latest version of the cooperative classic! It is the dawn of the Industrial Age in the Netherlands. For centuries, the country has relied upon a series of dikes and wind-powered pumps to keep it safe from the constant threat of flooding from the North Sea. But this system is no longer enough.

Too often in this game, I felt like much of my progress was whistling in the wind compared to the flow of water which kept on falling off. The worst part of Pandemic is having a leftover action you don't know what to do with, and I felt like this happened all the time in Rising Tide: you can't take a cube out with it, because most of the time, it will just come back anyway.

This attempt to turn Pandemic into a 'system' makes me want to bash my head against my desk. Guys...guys...If you're out of ideas to expand Pandemic then just let it go. Attaching 'Pandemic' to this game is just sad and desperate. You're better than that. Is the game any good? I don't care...I can't get past seeing a favored son stoop to being the guy that jumps up and down behind the live television reporter on assignment.

One of the strangest spinoffs from Pandemic. Here the mechanics dictate the breaching of the dikes and the flow of water over the Netherlands in a simulation of the 1953 flooding disaster. Being Belgian, this is something I can easily relate to. Very nice artwork. History lesson in a box.
