4 games in, including the prologue. It’s pretty depressing so far, not feeling it like season 1, something about it is just less fun. I’m hoping for a big twist that makes it more enjoyable. It also seems randomly harder than vanilla or season 1, in Feb we lost twice due to terrible starts and unlucky finishes. 6 games in. Just lost April after winning March on the 2nd try. Actually feeling slightly more positive after a couple of little reveals. Should win April 2nd try (before probably getting destroyed again in May). June and Wow, finally unlocked something that makes the game playable. We'd missed something, which is unfortunately easy to do in the design. Upgraded rating from 6 to 7.

played through and I am ready to give my final evaluation. the sense of discovery is wonderful. Now if only we didn't have such large rules accumulation because of that discovery. The ambition of this game is that you won’t have the same priorities or pace/ark in a game. Every action on the action card that you have built through the game is used in the last month, but how you evaluate the actions, and your resources, fundamentally change. And so I very much argue that this game should NOT be played real time. When you spend a month away from a game, you rely on more vague memories of the rules. When you take a year to play, you look for the similarities more, instead of just embracing the changes as they come. I will absolutely buy season 3 when it comes. but this was definitely a step back from the mastery of season 1. Or at least my experience of trying to play it in real time was a mistake compared to the “binge” play I did on season 1

Our group finally finished Pandemic Legacy: Season 2. After loving Season 1, Season 2 was quite a let down. I don't know if it's just that Season 1 was great and this was so-so, or if it's also a function of now having played multiple other legacy games that were only so-so (or worse - looking at you, Seafall), that I'm kind of over legacy games in general. Fun for a bit - but not a great game by any stretch of the imagination. Play Season 1 for sure, but there are lots of better games to play than Season 2.
