It's hard, with a game you only play through once, to know whether it was just a bad play or if the game itself is to blame. In my case, I think I was a bit turned off by how not-really-Pandemic S2 is (with S1, a large part of my fun was seeing how they twisted the formula away from it, which I didn't get here). That being said, I didn't get into S2 as much because of how swingy the difficulty was: we lost multiple games without having a snowman's chance, and won others without ever feeling threatened. Is it the game fault, the way the card felt, or something we did? I don't know. It was still fun, but nowhere near as good as S1 was (which I rate a 10).

Sequel to Season 1. Similar games: * Pandemic Iberia, Pandemic Reign of Cthulhu, Pandemic Rising Tide, Pandemic: Fall of Rome (no legacy, different themes, variations of Pandemic with different mechanics) * Commissioned (no legacy, religious theme, reversed: players add cubes instead of removing cubes from the board) * Lords of the Rings (no legacy, cooperative) * The Captain Is Dead (no legacy, cooperative, Sci-Fi game, similar gameplay, thematic, all about planning ahead and activating stations for certain effects)

I like how the map slowly expands as you play, but I feel like the core mechanics of the game don't change enough to keep it exciting while playing the many games necessary to complete the campaign. If you really enjoy the core mechanics of Pandemic, this would probably be quite enjoyable. (Only completed ~6 games of the campaign)
