This definitely scratched our pandemic itch after taking a year break after completing season one. I like the direction this game was going with the exploration and multiple optional objectives. Unfortunately, the game continues on regardless of the direction you take and certain things just become resolved regardless of which optional objectives you choose to take. There is also a period in the middle game where the objectives don’t change much and the game gets a little stale.

Probably a better game than PL season 1, but the "legacy" phenomenon regarding Pandemic wore off for me a bit in Season 2, which is the reason for the slightly lower rating. PL2 produced some widely varied experiences according to reviews and playthroughs that I read, plus my 3 attempts, with different groups, were all unique. Some people found the game depressingly difficult while others breezed. I thought the game was more challenging than PL1 and it required a more coordinated and well-thought-out plan of action in order to succeed. That is what I liked about this game over Season 1, the moments where my team and I poured over the situation and really was able to put our heads together to solve the current problem. PL 1 was a lighter game. Nonetheless, both are excellent and I certainly will grab Season 3 when it is released.
