It's not living up to the expectations. I find it very easy, and I'm not interested in the story due to the way it unfolds/reveals itself. We haven't really come close to losing, and it's been like a year since we played. Disappointing.

The story is pretty thin and you just find yourself completing the same objectives month after month. Although I really enjoyed the objective in the final month a lot. I realized after playing this game, legacy games are just not for me. There's a lot of new rule changes that feels like a hassle trying to remember and keep up with. I was a bit disappointed that some actions you are given are rarely useful. Instead of being fun, I felt like it was a lot of work. Due to some of the changes, the game went by really fast and you either win or lose right away. I barely drafted half the player deck or got past more than 2 or 3 epidemic cards before the game was over. The designers seemed to stuff a lot of ideas into this game with some hidden objectives that are helpful, but not mandatory to succeed or progress in the campaign. The unraveling of different cities was pretty neat to see unfold, but a bit predictable from the beginning. Overall, I appreciate the creativity and efforts the designers made to make this game challenging and different from Season 1, but just felt the story was ok and playing the game felt like it was more work than fun.

In my opinion better than season 1. More exploration, more decisions, more surprises. On the low side it is a little less balanced.
