Initial impressions: I'm really liking the changes this brings to the way the game plays. On the Brink has lots more content, but other than the Bioterrorist that we never use it doesn't really change the way the game is played. In the Lab makes it feel like a completely new game, which is excellent. I could even see there being times when my group wants to play without In the Lab in order to switch things up. My only concern is that the changes seem like they will really limit the usefulness of roles that are primarily useful for trading cards/acquiring sets of cards, or for reducing the number of cards needed for a cure. In our plays so far, getting players with the cards they need has been pretty easy without any trading at all.

Changes the way you discover the cure for diseases in a new and way though I don't particularly care for it. The system over-complicates the way that cures are discovered and bogs down the game, really changing the feel and pace of the game in a way that I didn't really like. Adds some new roles. The included new role cards for two of the existing roles but didn't include replacements for others that have different behaviours with the In the Lab challenge which seems silly and lazy to me. Easily my least favourite expansion for Pandemic.
