I would say I like it less than Legacy, but it is more challenging than vanilla Pandemic. I miss the world - the peninsula seems too small for the epic feeling and I miss the sense of achievement after creating a cure. In this version it changes too little. We haven't tried included variants yet.

Slight improvement to regular Pandemic. A bit more restrictive since the ability to travel isn't as convenient as in regular Pandemic due to the time period this game takes place in, which creates a new challenge. The designers came up with some variants that add many hours to this game. I do find Iberia more challenging than the base version, even on the easiest level, which is a bit infuriating. However, it's an excellent game, just have to handle losing quite a bit more than I prefer.

A really nice version of Pandemic. It's a great game, and more fair and tense as you don't get that huge difficulty reduction if you "discover a cure" too early in the game. I'm still on the fence between giving it a 10 or a 9. For now, the railwayman feels obligatory, as we tend to lose the game when noone has him. This score is just for the base game, without the variants, as we're still enjoying it and its replayability hasn't been an issue.
